PROGRAM

Cooper, Robertson & Partners provided the original General Development Plan (GDP) for a prior client. When the latter defaulted, the current client tasked EDI with developing each individual parcel and designing every building. Currently one of the nation's largest redevelopment projects, the $3.5-billion project serves as a national and international model. Still in development, the project has already brought enormous benefits to the city of Stamford and to the area’s population, such as fees for the city, and temporary and permanent jobs.

Harbor Point is being used as a TOD case study by the NAIOP Research Foundation, a destination for International AIA project tours, and an exemplar of the process for exchanging experience, information, and insights among government officials, planners, architects, engineers, developers and students. To date EDI has designed and overseen construction of over 2,600 high-density residential units and approximately 200,000 square feet of retail/ commercial space as well as approval of an additional 800 high-density residential units.
